Today, Sir Geoffrey met with farmers from across Devon along with tens of thousands from every corner of Rural Britain to explain with discipline and dignity to the Labour Government the effects of its inheritance tax on family farms.
This measure will do significant damage to the countryside that is grossly disproportionate to the modest amount of money it will raise for the treasury.
Following the successful march down Parliament Street, Sir Geoffrey went on to meet with Devon farmers, alongside other Conservative MPs Mel Stride and Rebecca Smith, to discuss how these measures will acutely effect farmers across the county.
Sir Geoffrey is looking to follow up on this meeting by securing a Westminster Hall Debate to put questions to the Government Minister for Farming and get the answers and certainty Devon's farmers deserve.
